  I purchased a high-end (custom paint and electric lock) pickup cap for my 2012 Ford F-150 in October 2013. Shortly after the 1-Year warranty ended, the bottom piece of plastic/fiberglass started warping. I contacted the dealer who contacted their company who said they only honor the warranty of the manufacturer. This is NOT a hardware problem, nor a part problem. This is a material problem. The material has a manufactured flaw. I had a previous Leer cap for over 15 years and this problem never occurred, even with the truck be outside every day of those 15 years.
